ipod touch blocked

tried to unlock my ipod touch often and now asks to connect to itunes, I connect and will not unlock, what do I do ?

Place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore via iTunes. For recovery mode:

iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore
