Why won't my iTunes store work?

So I've been having this problem for about six months. I will try to open the iTunes Store from the tab in iTunes and I get "accessing iTunes Store" at the top with the loading bar and "iTunes Store" in the middle, and it just stays there and doesn't load. So I cannot buy music or videos, or use Ping or Genius and it's really annoying. I've tried disableing my Firewall and re-installing iTunes, neither of them worked. I think it may have to do with my virus protection, I have Norton Internet Security and Norton Safety Minder. Sometimes it will finally go through to a really weird looking page with blue artist names and stuff on it, but you can't do anything from there either. Can anyone help? Please?
