iTunes isn't recognizing any blank CDs

This problem actually hasn't happened until recently, so I'm pretty baffled by it.

Whenever I put in a normal CD (As in a CD with music on it), the little CD icon shows up on my iTunes of the left. However, when I put in a blank CD, it won't show up on iTunes, hence I can't burn any CDs.

Has anyone encountered this? It's extremely annoying.

Thanks.

Allright.

Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 (Build 2600)
Hewlett-Packard Presario R3200 (PM008UA#ABA)
iTunes 6.0.2.23
CD Driver 2.0.4.3
CD Driver DLL 2.0.3.2

If you have multiple drives on the same IDE or SCSI bus, these drives may interfere with each other.
Some computers need an update to the ATA or IDE bus driver, or Intel chipset. If iTunes has problems recognizing CDs or hanging or crashing while importing or burning CDs, check the support site for the manufacturer of your computer or motherboard.

Media in drive is blank.
Get drive speed succeeded.
The drive CDR speeds are: 4 10 16 24.
The drive CDRW speeds are: 4 10.

I hope that's what it's supposed to do...

I am having the same problem...I just got a new harddrive and now whenever I put in a blank cd Itunes States the the cd is not blank. then it states that the cd burner is already in use. Could this be because of my new harddrive? Everything worked perfect before the newharddrive, same cds were used also. I did a virus scan, no viruses found. Here is my cd diagnostics info:
