how do you connect a westell dsl router to a macbook pro wirelessly?

I don't know how to connect my macbook pro to the internet. I have a Westell dsl router that should work wirelessly. Please Help!!

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.2)

Look on the outside of the modem/router case for a number or letter+number combo that says something like Wireless WPA/WPA2 key.


Then when you click on the wireless connection for that device, SSID name which should also be on the outside of the modem/router case, it will ask you for the security key. Type in what that # or letter # is and click Connect.


If that works you really need to WIRE, using an Ethernet cable, your computer to that box, logon to it and change everything. Routers main password, Wireless SSID name and Wireless password.
