Q: can i extend my network with a time capsule?

I just upgraded my time capsule from 1TB to 3 TB (too many digital photos!).  I've been trying to figure out how to use the smaller time capsule as a wireless network extender (might as well use it).  So far, no success.  Any help from anyone who has done this before?  Thanks!
