Those aren't crashes. They are Kernel Panics. For starters uninstall or update.

You are not getting simple crash reports your machine is suffering from Kernel Panics which can damage the OS if allowed to continue. KP's can be either hardware or software related, in your case my guess is hardware. A very common hardware cause is RAM. RAM causes can be:

Incorrect RAM (did you upgrade yours recently)

Failed RAM (yes it can and does fail)

Unseated RAM (remove and reseat)

One test you can try is Rember which may uncover some issues.

Also you should read XLab's excellent Kernel Panics article for advice.

NOTE: I missed the line WZZ pointed out and agree I would remove that imediately!

Good luck!

thank you for your reply. yes sorry i mean kernal crashes

Ive deleted: Rowmote

I have tried 'rember' a few weeks ago and it came up with this message FAILURE see log for more info (allocated memory for useage is all) ....which i dont understand

I would also recommend restarting the computer in Safe Mode, this will clear some caches. It's possible on or more may have been corrupted. Also it woudn't hurt to Repair Disk Permissions, you will find this in Disk Utility located in Applications - Utilities - Disk Utility. Repair Disk Permissions 2x and you can disregard most messages. If you see some that concern you please look over Disk Utility's Repair Disk Permissions messages that you can safely ignore.

Jan 8, 2012 3:18 PM in response to rkaufmann87

its just crashed again. I got rember to work results are all clear (below) ive repaired disk permissions lots of times and theres never been any error messages (below) Restarted in safe mode and repaired disk permissions as well. Newest kernal panic (below) ive also tried lots of things from the x.lab - anything else you could recomend?

Test Results. All tests passed!

Total built-in memory: 14 GB

This is the total amount of physical memory that the computer has installed. If this figure is not showing the correct amount of memory there may be a problem with one or more installed DIMMS.

Available memory: 11840 MB

Available memory is the amount of physical memory that is currently not in use by any other processes. All available memory will be used for testing when the "All" option is selected. To increase the amount of available memory, you can restart your computer before testing. If you are familiar with the command line (CLI), you can run memtest (the core of Rember) in single-user mode. See Rember help, or http://www.memtestosx.org for more information.

Requested amount: 2 MB

The total amount of memory requested for testing by the Rember application. Not all requested memory can be allocated for testing. See information on "Available memory" for more information.

Memory allocated for testing: 2 MB

This is the total amount of memory that memtest was able to allocate for testing. See "Available memory" section for more information.

-------

Loops selected: 1

Total loops selected by user for testing. All loops should complete when testing is successful. Test failure when the "Continue on Error" preference is selected will cancel tests before this number of loops has been completed. Users can also cancel testing before this number is reached.

Loops completed: 1

Total loops completed by memtest. Note that the Rember is not always able to identify how many loops ran. If there are discrepancies between this and the loops selected, the log should be examined to determine exactly how many loops were performed.

-------

Total execution time: 0 seconds

This is the total amount of time that it took to execute the selected tests. Execution time may vary from system to system, and is provided as a guide for determining how long users can expect tests to run based on the amount of memory installed on the system.

Don't think AppCleaner will be very effective with items in /System/Library. Get EasyFind and look for all its components there. When you find something, use Reveal in Finder and move it to the Trash from there. You will be asked for your admin pword to do this.

Or you can just navigate to /System/Library/Extensions. Find the kext and move it to Trash after authenticating with your pword.

My iMac is crashing up to 6 times in a day
