Does pages for IPad convert to e pub format?

I read in a google search that Pages can convert to E Pub format without knowing HTML is this correct?

iPad, iOS 5.0.1

Pages does convert to ePub. You just export your (word processing) document from Pages. This Apple support document will tell you what you need to know, including directing you to a template for optimal formatting:
