Is there anyway to have the iPhone 4, version 5.0.1 unlocked from Bell? I have a Rogers contract so I want to be able to use it with Rogers. Thanks.

If the iPhone 4 is carrier locked with Bell, it is up to Bell only to officially unlock the iPhone, or to send the official unlock request to Apple on the owner's behalf.

Nope. Bell doesn't offer official unlocking, and only Bell can authorize the unlocking of your phone.
If you want it unlocked, you'll have to jailbreak it then unlock it un-officially. We can't tell you how to go about that, as such is not permitted to be discussed here.
A brief perusal of this forum would have revealed that ONLY the carrier it is locked to can authorize unlocking it.
According to this list ( http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1937 ) Bell Canada does NOT offer unlocking. Sell it and buy a new phone with Rogers or purchase an unlocked phone from Apple.
Bell wireless cannot unlock your phone. Try trading with one of you friends

Thanks for your feedback. It just seems silly that a phone can be locked to a carrier, yet there's no way to unlock it...
Unless there is a law that requires a carrier to do so, this is always up to the carrier with any carrier locked phone.
