How do I know if Bonjour is enabled on my device and Mac

How do I know if Bonjour is enabled on my device and Mac? My Mac could not identify an APP: "Document to go" that I bought for my iPad. One of the problems could be that Bonjour was not enabled? Please help.

iPad 2, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Are you sure you set "All Processes" in the Activity Monitor's Show menu popup? It might also help to order the processess by Process Name. So look again. It should be there. If it wasn't, as those articles I referenced above say, you couldn't even use your web browser since mDNSResponder is needed to handle DNS operations (i.e., used to map a url to an IP number).
