I have a mid 2007 imac 24 inch. Recently i noticed that there was some kind of screen burn in. It is not the regular screen burn in since it disapears slightly when i turn it of for about an hour. Does anyone else has the same problem and does anyone know a solution.

1. Set your Energy Saver Preference for Display sleep down to 3, 4 or 5 minutes.
2. Set up a Hot Corner to Put Display to Sleep and sleep the display before you get up instead of leaving it on for long period of time.
Thanks but all that you sugested is to prevent it. Isn't there something to fix it for good. And also i don't think this should hapen to a computer who is only 4 years old.
Sorry, but that is the solution. Unless you plan on paying Apple to replace the Display and even then there is no guaranty that it won't do the same thing.
Shouldn't there be some kind of warranty to fix this. I don't think it is normal

I have the same problem since a couple of weeks: the dock - which I have on the left side of the screen - leaves a burn in print on the screen of my 24 inch mid 2007 iMac. It didn't do this before so is this a sign that the life of the screen is at his end?
