Going from pre k to college graduation in the same week.......
Something like that. This post is getting weirded by the moment. Where to next ?
Do you think that we could convince Apple to create a special category of posters called "The Old Folks' Home?"

Yes and I also had one in 1992, can you top that ? Crazy......
I went to pick up my granddaughter in pre-K the other day and her classmate was being picked up by her dad who's older than I am - I'm a few months shy of 69!
We shared a table with a nice older couple, older used advisedly as I'm now up in the rarified air of Medicare ..
Anyway, I was bemoaning the fact that I had a daughter who was 40, and how/when did that happen, and so forth, when the guy just grinned and said,"Well, I've got a daughter who's 74!"
I told him that he was going to be my new life model.
Yeah, I know. He's the one that said that they're planning a divorce but they're waiting until the children die!
On a more serious note, the scary part is that, in both sides of my family, the women live forever but the men die young. I had two grandmothers and two great-grandmothers that lived to 101-103 and my mother made it to nearly a hundred. At the same time, there is not a single male relative of which I'm aware that has outlived me! Both of my grandfathers died before I was born. I had an uncle that I never knew that died as an infant, as did one of my own sons. My older brother died at age 60.
Well, I'm ready...
My children are my legacy.
They have children of their own.
Their children will have children and their children's children will have children.
And so on and so on and so on.
I have impacted this world for all of eternity!

Marion, my first was in 73, right after i put my slide rule in the drawer for my TI whiz bang calculator.
TI? Real engineers used HP with RPN, which I had thought was a Polish joke!
Ok, so I have a twenty year old grandson and a twenty year old son. I am still able to keep up with modern technology and even though they both think I am over the hill , it's me they come too when the computer has a problem. PS. This new format is great!
The new format is fine in some respects, but others a bit of a pain...but it is nice of the hosts to just let us ramble for a change.
Haven't seen a post with this many pages in a long time that isn't on the topic of FLASH for the iPad 😁
A topic area for the oldsters - would be interesting to see just who would admit to it and join...Philly, why don't you propose that at:
Hee, hee...in case in your advanced age you have forgotten that link 🙂
Skins played just well enough to not get a chance to RG3 (and Barkley/Jones coming back for senior seasons weakens their prospects)... but Shanahan is egotistical enough to feel that he doesn't need a top quarterback. I think the prospect of Wizards breaking the all-time losing record (percentage-wise, because of the short season) is going to be the biggest news event of the year.
This is great - for once I feel like the young one in a discussion (as I was 2 when Dah-veed was admiring the slide rule). I do have fond memories of the TRS-80 appearing in my 6th grade math classroom.
The original Senators won one title in DC (1924), became the Twins, and one two titles. The next round of Senators won no titles in DC, became the Rangers, and haven't won a title. No other team has left the city...
I forgot about the A's - they were the glory team of Philly for a long time, so that significantly bumps your winning percentage up. You were there to watch Connie Mack trot out Chief Bender, Jimmie Foxx, and Home Run Baker, right Philly Phan?
You're not making friends!

What is this? "Pick on the old fart" day?
