test response
Yes I like that one ! It's like this is a payed job, we spend countless hours here trying to help people and the reply is "that does not help, anyone else ! " or " I still think Apple has got it wrong not having Flash " or the best of all, no reply, nothing, just use the advice offered and off you go.
When you se those Cs with the funny tales it is not Spanish.
I had no issue opening the pdf in either of my iPad browsers; Safari & Atomic Lite
I had no problem opening the file either - but obviously the OP had a problem.
I pointed this discussion out to you since you were asking about those rude and condescending responses that we get from time to time from the OP's. The guy made me feel like a schmuck. Sometimes - you have to consider the obvious when someone posts just to make sure that they are proceeding in the proper fashion.
I personally found the OP's response to be insulting and dismissive to me - the discussion was just an example of that type of behavior.
I defended your honor sir.
Ok, so perhaps the response to things like these is:
"The help will be commensurate with the payment"
"You got your money's worth"
And it is annoying to help, give advice, and in some cases over and over working out a really tough problem only to never hear back, not even "it worked".
When you start helping out on here, don't quit your day job 😝
That's all you want to hear" it worked, thanks" oh well, no one is making us do this are they, so I will keep my day job, as you say, not to sure what it is though! I will go away and ponder that one.... Oh by the way thanks Ralpy.
That should have been thanks Ralph, I was not trying to be familiar ! Note to self, always read posts before posting.
Insulting and dismissive? Oh sure, but I get that all the time. Hand it out too, of course.
I more remember the ones that just make me laugh out loud. The last one I remember was from a cranky gal (I think) who grunted out something like "Hey if I wanted to take all the time to actually explain what it is that I am trying to do then I'd just talk to Apple ....".
Love it ! With a name like Cranky Girl, what did you expect. She wanted a quick fix.
I'm working one right now that began with a complaint that whenever he clicks on the "Sync" button in iTunes, a sync takes place!
Surprisingly, I think that I've got him turned around.
Here is my response and I got a "Correct Answer" to it!
Yes, the button labeled "Sync" causes a sync to take place. If you're connected with a cable when you click the "Sync" button, the sync will be via cable. If the cable is disconnected (and WiFi sync is enabled), the sync will be wireless. If the cable is disconnected and WiFi sync is not enabled, the button will not be present because it's not possible to sync.
Remember: "Sync" means sync.
I think that we should follow your lead. He shall forever be known as "Ralpy."
I'm just waiting for you guys to get us slapped up side of da' head again.
Can hardly believe the hosts have been so tolerant...must be all the grey hair...we have them fooled into thinking we are not all together there 🙂
On second thought, maybe we aren't
C'mon Ralpy, I gave a correct answer! The mods should be proud.
Ok, ok, you get 10 points for your response if you're gonna grovel and pander like that 😕
At my age it took a while to find "confused"
