Q: i cant get he airport to stay active on mac os x, can anyone help?

if you're running OS X 10.7 Lion (you don't say which version of OS you're running) this tip has helped some, although there are numerous threads on here with users describing the same problem you are experiencing. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a one fix solution. Hopefully it'll be addressed in a future OS update.
