My Apple TV recognizes my computer and plays music and video files from my itunes library, but it won't show photos. I've turned on home sharing in my iphoto library, but the "loading" message goes on and on...

I've got the same problem, it started about 2 weeks ago. Went to 3 levels of apple support and was infromed that it is an engineering problem that they are aware of and are working on it. Yeah, right. My apple tv is useless now.. I have a case number but when I tried to call back the message box was full not enabling me to leave a message.
I am having the exact same issue. ATV doesn't show any photos. I just see thumbnails and when I click on it, all I see is a "?". ATV *****! I have been researching on chromecast and will be buying it for all my streaming.
