Q: Outlook now disappeared

Just bought my first iMac O X 10.7.2 (21.5").  managed to transfer Outlook over and all fine.  When shut down and then turned on again Outlook (email, calander etc) has completely disappeared.  Can anyone help?

If you used Migration Assistant it creates a second user account when transferring your data. So log out of your user account and into the new account and your Outlook data should be imported.

I think that's what  you are referring to however I'm not quite sure, if you meant anything else please post back and we can try to help you.

thanks for this.  I've just checked and Migration Assistant is for transferring stuff between OX and also needs firewire so I don't think the guy who installed it for me was using MA.  I was transferring from PC (windows 2003) to trial version of Mac office pro 2011....

I see. If you still want to it  please look over About MS Windows Migration Assistant for the correct instructions on how to migrate from a PC to Lion. This should   provide all the instructions you need for a successful migration. Once the data has been migrated if you need help with MS Office for Mac there is a forum specifically for that. You can find it by clicking the Office for Mac Product Forums link.
