Open System Preferences > General
Make sure: Use LCD font smothing when available is selected.
Having Zoom enabled in System Preferences > Universal Access - Seeing may cause some blurring.
Try a different monitor resolution. Open System Preferences > Displays

Zoom was not enabled in "System Preferences", but I disabled "Universal Access" in the Safari preferences. We'll see if that helps.
Thanks....virg
Nope...didn't help. Just did it again. But...since it doesn't happen very often, it's not a big problem. Just annoying.
Thanks for the input though.

Since a "reboot" seems to help, try emptying Safari cache more often.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Emtpy Cache or the default keyboard shortcut Command + Option + E
Check Safari > Preferences - Extensions
If you have any installed, turn that off, quit then relaunch Safari to test.
You're welcome

I emptied the Cache and that resulted in things loading much faster. I also turned "Extensions" off although there were none listed.
Safari reacts much faster now which leads me to believe it may have solved the problem. Just the increase in speed deserves a "correct answer" point award.
Thanks...virg
