migration assistant problem

I have an new MBP. Am migrating from an Windows 7 laptop.

Attempting to use the Migration Assistant.

When MA starts I get a dialog that states that "Windows Mail" needs to be shutdown before MA can run.

Well, Mail is NOT running but methinks there is a process running that is part of mail but have not been able to discern which one that could be.

I've attempted to shutdown processes but to no avail.

Has anyone else seen this or can provide some assistance?

Thank you!

I have the same problem. When Windows Migration Assistant starts on my PC - I get a dialog that states that "Windows Mail" needs to be shutdown before Windows Migration Assistant can run. I don't have "Windows Mail" on my PC (Windows 7 does not have a built-in client email - I am using The Bat!). Restart does not help...

Do you know what should I do to make the WMA work properly?
