I'm trying to transfer pictures from my Canon Rebel digital camera, and I've tried using the SIM card and the upload cord. My Macbook is not recogizing the SIM card or the upload cord. How can I transfer pictures from my camera to my Macbook?

Sorry...my mistake. I meant SD card. I'm trying to transfer the JPEGS from the SD card on my digital camera to my computer. I've tried the built in card reader (USB), as well as connecting the upload cord to my computer from my camera. Neither of those options have worked...
Doe the SD card mount to the desktop when you insert it into the SD reader on your computer? If so use the finder to look at it and try to move the photos to a desktop folder

I'm a bit confused - SIM cards typically are for cell phones and I believe the Canon REbel uses an SD card
What exactly are you trying to read
And how? Built in card reader - USB card reader ??

I don't get an error message. Nothing happens...no recognition of the device. Not sure what version of iPhoto...
