calculation formulas from pages does not work in pages ipad app any reason why?

You might also provide more information, such as the actual formula or formulas that are not working on the iPad.

Pages for iOS supports a subset of the features of Pages '09. It's possible you're using a formula not supported in Pages for iOS.

When i am on the ipad and create a new table in Pages, I do not have the option of adding formulas. when I copy a table from Numbers and bring it over with equations. it pastes the values of the results, but removes the equations. I assume this wouldimply that equations are not supported in tables in pages on iPad.

Not entirely true, as the Invoice template in Pages for iOS does do the calculations in the last column of the table, as noted by gnassel.

But there does not appear to be any way to edit the formulas in those cells, or even to view them, based on my brief exploration.

Today i try some formulas in numbers. Then i copy/paste the table in pages and works. When I change the cells in pages it calculate the cells for the result like in numbers.

I do this with simple multiplication, sum, average, pi and it works fine.

That is a question most of us will have problems to answer. Most of us answering here don't have iPad. You might get more help in the forum for iWork on iOs.

No. Pages for iOS does not support formulas.

The only way it will run a formula is if it has been imported from Pages for OS X, or is included in a template. You can't add, or edit, a formula in Pages for iOS.
