Youtube not playing in stereo?

When I play youtube videos, the sound is only coming through in mono on my 4S running 5.0.1

Example video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8ODm-F9-IM

However, stereo *does* seem to work fine when I play mp3s, waves,pandora, etc.

I tried searching, but couldn't find this problem anywhere else in the forums here. I found other people with, I think, the same problem, elsewhere, but no solutions.

Anybody else experienced this? Anything that can be done?

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.0.1

Are you using headphones when you play the test video in YouTube?

If not, you shouldn't hear stereo output through a single speaker.

Checkout the iPhone User Guide.

I hear the video in stereo when using headphones.

Are you testing both iPhones over the same Internet connection?

If not, try testing them both on the same Wi-Fi netowrk, or at least both on Wi-Fi.

The YouTube app may be changing the audio/video quality based on the Internet connection speed.

Yes.

I have used the same headphones for the mp3s/etc on this phone, and have even used them on a friend's 3GS on the same youtube video, and I was able to get stereo sound there.
