I have just spent money on a 2nd hand G5. Not knowing about this PPC stuff before hand is there anything I can do to get my adobe applictions on there?
Noting seems to be working alot of other things I used to use on my windows is now unavalible to me.

If you really want help here, you are going to have to tell us exactly what kind and version of Adobe application you wish to run.
There is no way you are going to be able to execute Windows applications on the G5 iMac at all.

Photoshop is the main one but the reason I got the mac was to use things like After Affects and Flash because my PC was unable to handle it.
I cant seem to get any versions the latest would be great but I will settle for anything right now. I don't want my money to go to waste.

Well I hate to tell you this but that Mac is at least 6 years old. The only things that will run on it are long out of support and extremely difficult to find any more. I have used some of them when I had a PowerMac G5 Quad and I glad I have the newer version of software with my new Mac Pro. You have backed yourself into a deadend with that Mac. Sorry.

What would you recommend for a beginner designer? I also want do some video editing and will be starting to do animation soon as well.
If you have another Apple computer,
I don't know about the animation (you could probably just look it up in the app store), but for movie editing just iMovie. It is a very good program. (I would suggest that if you use iMovie you turn on the advanced preferences if you want to be able to do more stuff.)
