Sync Desktop Wallpaper with Home Sync? Help!

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to run this by the community and see if anyone could help me keep my desktop wallpapers in sync between my Macs. I have three Macs (iMac 27", iMac 20" and a 17" Macbook Pro) and being a college student with the month off and working in IT, I set up a Snow Leopard Server and make Portable Home Directories which sync my desktop and wallpapers and all this is working great.

What I wanted to do now is make it so that my wallpaper would sync between all macs. I constantly change my wallpaper so this would be very useful for me. I looked at the Managed Client options in Workgroup manager where you could set one wallpaper between all macs, but this isn't what I am looking for. Instead I am looking for the wallpapers to sync between all macs so that I can change my wallpaper on say my macbook pro and then when I log onto my iMac, I would have the same wallpaper.

I could really use the help and if anyone could post a potentual soltuion that would be great! Thanks! 🙂

Hi Mike,

We (at Skyriser Media) are still working on WallpaperSync, a simple way of syncing wallpapers between multiple computers running Windows, Mac OS X and iOS (iPhone/iPad).

More info:

Right now only the Mac and Windows versions are out (still beta), but we are working hard on the iPhone version too.

Let us know if you have any suggestions or feedback.

Thanks!

Chris
