there is a brand new imac lion v10.0.7. but the addres bar gone and I try to add it back from viem menu inside the customized toolbar. but address icon is not here. then I did try permission repair in the disk utiltiy. it is still not working. any help?

That is the address bar. In the customize window, click-hold and drag to the toolbar in the Safari window at the top and drop it on the toolbar under the Safari menu.
If your Address Bar and Search Bar are missing, you can add them back by dragging the "Add Bookmark, Address, and Search" section back to the Toolbar area.
If the Address Bar is missing, but the Search Bar is still there, you can remove that and then drag the "Add Bookmark, Address, and Search" section back.
Have you tried that; if so, what happens?
