Recording Vinyl into Logic 9

Hello all! Would I be able to use a RCA to 1/4 adapter and go straight into my interface with a turntable, or would I have to have a dj mixer then go output to input on that?

Thanks!

Depends on the turntable.. older cheap ceramic cartridge will go directly into line-in on your interface, higher quality magnetic cartridge output will not match. (If you have a decent turntable it's most likely a magnetic cartridge.

Enter "Phono Preamp" in Google (minus quote marks) and scroll down the page, you will see some inexpensive preamps that should work for you.
