Here's the page that iWeb creates with the code you pasted.

Nowhere is iWeb mentioned.

I noticed Vimeo uses an iframe to link to the vimeo page. It's the old way of embedding videos. The later versions of Vimeo use other embed code. You video is 3 years old. That explains it.

Upload the same video again and see if the new code is provided.

Here's your code in a non-iWeb page. It still doesn't work on an iPad.

Edit : I displayed the vimeo page on my iPad. The same message appears.

Again, it's not an iWeb issue. So focus on the problem. And solve it where it occurs.

Vimeo works fine on iOS with a standard account. It also works with the FitVids script if you want to make the movie frame responsive.

Its actually easier and quicker to host your own files in the various formats and use HTML5 to play them - especially for a site that is built for portable devices. You can add the "knife" if you need them to play in IE 8.

Here's two versions of a test site with HTML5 video. One uses mediaelement for the audio stax and the other has a playlist style player. Stax Playlist
