Helicopter effect to vocals
Is there anyway to make vocals sound like a helicopter?
Cheers

Try adding the tremolo effect. Set both intensity and speed quite high and select auto-panning.

Thanks, it's worked quite well. It's not as intense as I'd like it to be. I've put the effect on three times, which seems to make a difference. I've set the intensity at high and the speed at 1/16t. I've also added a slight distortion, which intensifies the 'fly by' effect.
Thanks Zyriab 🙂
If you really want to go for the 'fly by' effect you should apply some Doppler shift. Doppler shift is that sort of "whee-oowww" type sound when a fast moving object such as a racing car, or a train, or indeed a helicopter passes across your sound field. Read about the physics of it on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doppler_effect
To replicate it try dropping the pitch by about a minor third as the sound passes the centre of the stereo spectrum.
Brilliant! I didn't think about that at all, but I messed around with the pitch using Vocal Transformer and it sounds really good now. For info, I'm trying to make a 'sound poem' by using clips of peoples voices, particularly different accents, to depict a battle. Your help has saved a lot of messing around.
Thanks, Zyriab!
