iSight Camera On Won't Operate in Photo Booth

I've posted this to the Mac OS X forums because I presume this is more of a problem with the OS than the iSight camera itself.

Here are the symptoms:

As soon as the my MacBook boots, and gets to the Desktop, the iSight camera light comes on. It remains on, regardless if any application is attempting to use it. In Photo Booth, there is no image that gets past to the application. Is it possible to force quit the isight camera, or reset a plist file that might control it. Don't know what application is trying to grab it on boot, but it doesn't release it.

Same issue occurs in iChat as well.

Thanks for any help!

MacBook, Xserve G5, PowerMac G5, Mac OS X (10.5.8)
