i am trying to print a web page that contains tables and text. when i print the page in IE, it fits in one page but when i print the same page in safari, it prints in two pages. is there a way to shrink pages to fit in one page! this is becoming a huge hassle. that is the only reason why i still have kept IE on my machine!
This is indeed a bit of a bore. The way I handle it is to shrink the page with the help of the page set up under Archive in the Safari menu bar. I hope I use the right descriptions 'cause I'm translating from the Dutch version of Safari. Going from 100% to 80% mostly is enough.
And just a reminder that you can always use Print > Preview to see if you have the percentage correct and to help you fine tune the percentage so that you can have the largest possible image while getting the information you want on a single page.
thank you all. i had to change the scale from 100% to 55% in order for this table to fit in one page when i tried to print it out in safari. beside that, now the table is very small and the fonts are super tiny. when i tried to print the same table in IE, the table is properly stratched in the page and the fonts appear as normal. i am now thinking that it might be in the way that IE handles the html tabel tags! any ideas?
