Location of TS device licence

You don't mention which version of OS X you're using but i it is Lion are you aware that the Users Library folder is now hidden?

FindAnyFile

Logon from an admin account. "This is a free program for Mac OS 10.4 and later that lets you search for files on your disks, primarily on HFS formatted ones." Hold down the command key to search all files. Enter administrator password.

Use the terminal to search. This will 'burn' up the harddrive. 😝

Macintosh-HD -> Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal

Search for whatsize in a file.

All filles in your home folder

find ~ -type f -exec grep -il "whatsize" {} \;

All files accessable on system.

sudo find / -type f -exec grep -il "whatsize" {} \;

The sudo command will ask for your administration password. No characters will appear when typing your password. Press return when done typing. sudo stands for super user do. It's just like root. Be careful.

Mac OS 10.4.11 is my OS.

Here is how to find out what version of Mac OS you are running:

Click on the blue apple in the upper left hand of the screen.

click on this icon

Click on the first line, "About This Mac"

Most of these are numbers & that's what we want.
