Today my IPhone 4 screen went fuzzy. I went to Apple store and was told it is 203 day out of warrenty. A $149.99 to replace. Should the screen really fail after 1 year and 6 months. I really like Apple, have IPad 2, MacBook, Wife IPhone and Daughter two IPod touches. For the life of me I can't figure out why they would not meet me in the middle it was not like I was asking for a free replacement. Talked to 4 people with Apple and no Help.

If you tried restoring and the issue persists, it's obviously hardware. You did have an option to purchase AppleCare within the first year and you chose not to. Full retail price of the iPhone 4 is $549 so Apple is definitely meeting you more than halfway.
Yes I could have purchased apple care, but maybe Apple should put better parts in what they sell. 203 day out of warranty the LCD should not fail.

Agreed it shouldn't and the vast majority don't (i,e, my 3 year old 3G is still good) but a small percentage do. You got unlucky this time... that's just part of life. Google for an iPhone repair shop near you.
