I have been trying to set up Home Sharing on my iMac for AppleTV, but I keep getting an error message with no explanation. What is Error 5506 and what does it mean?

Since I purchased my iMac over two years ago, I did not have any free support. So I "bit the bullet" and called Apple TV in California and asked for support on installation of the product(Ph: 408-996-1010). They were very helpful and walked me through the entire process, eventhough I had done all the tasks myself previously and it worked! As I recall, the issue was resolved by authorizing the new Apple ID Account to the iTunes Library you are trying to HomeShare. It's been 4 months now so I don't remember all the details, but if you have unlimited calling it's worth making the call. Good luck...
