my iPad keeps asking me for my Apple ID password during the last two days. Whether I type it and confirm, or I cancel, the request comes back after a few minutes. Does anyone know why and how I get rid of this ?

Check and see if its trying to download something, either an app update or if you have a tv season pass or something that would download automatically. Maybe it is having trouble downloading something.

Thank you. I indeed downloaded some 6 updates from the App Store, but normally I need to give my password only once for that. I have no tv season pass and no automatic downloads.

Mine is doing the same
I am having the same issue. I have checked to see if I have paused downloads (none), I have deleted and re-entered my apple ID twice, I have shut down and restarted my phone numerous times, and yet this password request keeps popping up. It has been occuring for at least two weeks.
I too have been having this issue on my iphone 4s Getting very annoying now. Apple can you hear us????
I remember after connecting my iPad to my iMac and syncing it, the problem was solved. Try that, I hope this helps.
