I can't open app store - 10.6.8

Hey there - I am trying to upgrade to Lion - I have 10.6.8 at the moment, I do a software update - nothing to update apparently - but I can't get on to the app store? There is nothing in my application list etc, and everything I have seen on the web suggests that an update will fix it...

Any help? Cheers guys 🙂
