Screen Lines...

Hi everyone!

My iBook g4 has green and red lines going horizontally across the screen (in the middle of the screen...besides that that part of the screen, the rest of the screen is fine). It still displays fine on an external display, but the internal display has those lines... Anyway I don't think that it is the mother board, because everything else works fine. So: do you guys think that it is the screen itself, the cables, or the inverter? I hope that it is not the motherboard. That would be bad lol. I need to take it apart anyway and install my new hard drive. So, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Kenny

It is quite likely that the graphics chip on the logic board is coming loose. The solution is either a new logic board or trying some do-it-yourself make-do fix.
