iTunes Match on iOS device how to tell what's down loaded on device?

I was just on a flight with no WiFi. Wanted to listen to some music on my iPad. I could not quickly and efficiently determine which of my 10 thousand plus songs were already downloaded on the device. Is there a smart list or something I can use to determine what files are local to the device?

Then when I got to the hotel and started to select albums to download for listening to on the return flight. I could not find a setting to show which songs are downloading, downloaded, or queued for download in a efficient and effective manner. Is this possible?

iPad 2, iOS 5.0.1
