How can I turn off the "click" sound on my trackpad?
I do not like the fact that the trackpad makes a loud clicking sound when I tap on it. The keyboard is quite quiet but the trackpad is very annoying.

You can't. It's not a software controlled click, it's hardware. You can use the "tap to click" gesture rather than a physical click. Enable it in System Preferences > Trackpad > Point & Click tab.
