Can i connect my old apple 23" cinema display to my MacBook Pro?

I have an old 23" cinema that I was connected to my now defunct PowerMac G5. I'm wondering if there is a way to connect it to my MacBook Pro which I bought in January 2011 -- clearly an adaptor would be needed but I don't know if one is made.
