Why does Safari lose cookies on cold start?
When I do a cold restart with Safari, it loses important cookies, like all my bank account shortcuts... It didn’t used to do that before.

Check your settings in Safari > Preferences.
Select either the Security or Privacy tab depending on which version of Safari you have installed.
FYI... it would help when you post to tell us which Mac OS X you have installed and in this case, which version of Safari.
Hi Carolyn,
I am using 10.7.2, and Safari 5.1.2. I already checked the ‘Security’ and ‘Privacy’ tabs, but the only tab that gives an option to remove ‘all web page data’ is under privacy, ...and all the cookies are there, including those from my financial institutions.
I cannot find out what Safari, or for that matter the OS does with cookies upon shut down.
Do cookie files get corrupted? Why only the financial institutions and not, for example, the log-in to this Apple discussion forum?
Thanks,
Klaus
