Jan 15, 2012 8:12 PM in response to iNFAMUSK72by Tom Gewecke,★HelpfulOn the iPad you would be able to select among these Hardware keyboard layouts: danish, german, french
These would correspond to what you see for those languages in this note:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2841
If your keyboard does not correspond to one of those, then unfortunately there is no way to add other layouts to the iPad at this time.

Jan 15, 2012 11:43 PM in response to Tom Geweckeby iNFAMUSK72,Thanks. So from your response it sounds like when I switch to the Danish layout using the globe (which I have found is command +space on the external keyboard) then on my English USA keyboard I would use the ; button for the Danish character æ or : for Æ and likewise the ' for ø and the " for Ø.
Is that correctly understood? Could you verify for me by testing it out? That is of course if you have an external keyboard which I assume you do.
Thanks for the help.

That is correct. Sorry, I do not have an external keyboard, but have no reason to doubt that is how it will work.

Jan 18, 2012 1:08 AM in response to Tom Geweckeby iNFAMUSK72,Thanks Tom. I am also pretty sure that it works this way, but I would just like to confirm it somehow. Hopefully someone can and I am also working on testing it myself somewhere. I will update the reply once I confirm.

Thanks! If it does not work that way, it would seem pretty useless, since it would not correspond to the Danish bluetooth keyboard marketed by Apple.
