Q: iTunes stops responding after sign in with my Apple ID account

Hi,

iTunes stops responding after introducing my apple ID account.

I have iTunes 10.5.2.11 on a Windows 7 PC, and worked perfect.

For some reason, it just stopped responding and I already followed all the "Troubleshooting unexpected quits, freezes, or launch issues" for Windows 7.

Please help,

    Hi Wiclee

I'm having the same problem after upgrading to iTunes 10.5.3.3

Already done all steps and this time iTunes is not working.

iTunes is only working on a different windows user.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

This one is from Article TS3219

    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3219

If the issue does not occur in a new user:

    1. Test with an alternate iTunes Library.

      • Log out of the new user and log back in to the original user.
      • Create a new iTunes library by following steps in this article.
      • Connect the device to see if the issue still occurs.
      • If the issue does not occur with a new blank iTunes library, quit iTunes and switch back to the original library as follows:
Windows: Reopen iTunes while holding down the Shift key. When prompted, click Choose Library. Navigate to and select the original iTunes library file. By default, the iTunes Library files are stored in the following locations:

        • Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\My Documents\My Music\iTunes
        • Windows Vista: C:\users\[username]\Music\iTunes
        • Windows 7: C:\users\[username]\My Music\iTunes
Mac OS X: Reopen iTunes while holding down the Option key. When prompted, click Choose Library. Navigate to and select the original iTunes library file. By default, the iTunes Library files are stored in ~/Music/iTunes.
      • Then, rebuild the original iTunes library files by following this article.

    tittitaly

    Can you try this?

    Close your iTunes,

    Go to command Prompt -

(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".

    (Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt

In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in

    netsh winsock reset

    Hit "ENTER" key

    Restart your computer.

If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.

Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now

I have performed all of the tasks above and my itunes still does not respond after signing into my apple id and then doing something with the iTunes Store. (ie. Try to update Apps, go to iTunes Store, iTunes Match, View my account.)

My account works on my devices and my 2 other authorized computers.
