Q: Just redeemed a gift card and i want to buy an app but there is no option to use the credit i have??? what do i do???

As the question is ststed, i am new to macs but i really dont know exactly what to do. i followed what the card said to redeem it; thru itunes; and i just want to buy pages but my creit isnt being applied and i dont understand why it's being more complicated then it should. It would be so nice of anyone to help me because i all want is to get the pages app please

    I have the same problem. Just redeemed 10$ gift card but I can't do anything about it. It's always asking me about billing information. I don't know why apple keep asking about credit card when we already have money on our apple ID?!

    I have the same problem. I bought itunes card and i plan to use part of it to download mountain lion in the app store. I have more than enough balance. But I can not do it and it asks my card details. I found out in the FAQ on iTunes that iTunes card can not be used to buy apple products. So, I can only buy music, videos, etc in the iTunes store. Such as shame on the interconnection and non recognition problems.

    Solved my problem already. I check my account details in app store and saw my credit balance I redeemed in iTunes store. What I failed to do is put my credit card details in my app store account. After doing it and downloading Mountain Lion, the cost was deducted from the balance and not from my credit card. All sorted for me.
