how do I save a pdf from an email?

I have just started using my iPad.

I have an email with a PDF attached and I would like to save it for future use.

How?

You first need an app on the iPad that supports PDF files if you want to save it on the iPad - the iPad doesn't have a file system like a 'normal' computer, everything has to be associated with an app. There are a number of free PDF apps such as iBooks and Adobe Reader in the iTunes app store. Once you have an app then you should be able to press and hold on the attachment in the Mail app and you should get an option to 'open in'.

Well if you have a PDF in mail, you probably need to save it an app.... iPad, iPod or iPhone don't serve as a hard disk wherein you can save or keep anything directly( except iPod classic).

the best for PDFs is, Adobe PDF reader, go to iTunes or Apple store app on your iPad and search for Adobe, you can download and save , view any PDF for future use, you can also copy files to and from your computer and iPad.

There are other apps also like for word n presentations.... just explore the iTunes store with keywords..
