after changing my ipod/itunes update method from manual to auto back to manual, I am unable to add my video files back onto my pod. The videos were on the pod till this afternoon, the pod got wiped clean when i selected auto update of the ipod by itunes. when trying to put the videos back, itunes gives me a message that my ipod won't be able to play the files. (even though, they're the same files i took off the pod)
Also, i only updated the itunes software 5 minutes before all of this happened...
What do i do??? i tried the 5 R's over an over and even swithed between the latest itunes and the one before. My IPOD firmware has not been updated and is still on 1.0

Well, the Itunes Info message is the same one that pop's up on my pc, but the thing is that the videos i'm trying to put back, were previously on my Pod, and now they won't go back.
They still play in itunes though.
I it set to manual update and it still won't allow it
I'm a bit sceptical of the current ipod update as i've heard many bad things about it. Sounds like these pods are extremely sensitive.
I've managed to get it working from another PC on the older itunes - 6.0.0.18 or something like that... hven't tried the latest one released yesterday yet though.
Problem is, i had to remove itunes from this pc to reinstall, and it won't reinstall gae me error -3 a coupla times and some other weird errors and quicktime won't uninstall completely, so i can't reinstall, and it doesn't work in its current state.
I don't know what else to do aside from reformat PC and start from scratch 😟
There's other things to try besides reformat, if it's a QuickTime installation error. But I'm not real clear anymore on what the exact problem is, anymore.
If you obtained the videos from an outside source, and they are not in your iTunes, you won't be able to keep them when you update. Try Copy Pod and Copy Pod Photo to move videos from iPod then into iTunes.
