Q: MBP not connecting to WiFi

I have an older MBP (4+ Years running Snow Leopard) and just recently the computer will sporatically not connect to my WiFi.

I have cable modem which is connected to a Time Capsule.

I know it is not a provider issue since I have a brand new MBP and it works just fine.

I would say it works OK about 15-20% of the time and when it does it is painfully slow.

The Genius Bar hasn't been much help. They have cleaned thing out, changed names of the network, etc, but nothing has helped.

Your ides would be greatly appreciated.

One thought...I think the arport on the older MBP is "G", while the new MBP is "N". Would that make a difference?
