I'm not able to delete my facebook search history in Safari. Can anyone help? I've tried clearing history, cache, cookies, etc.

iMac flat screen G4, Mac OS X (10.4.11)
Go to ~/Library/Safari
Move the History.plist file from the Safari folder to the Trash.
Restart your Mac.
Thank you very much - alas, it did not work. Any other thoughts? Perhaps it's not possible to erase the facebook search history.
Ok...maybe preferences are corrupted...
Go to ~/Library/Prerferences
Move the com.apple.Safari.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Desktop.
Quit then relaunch Safari, go to the menu bar click History > Clear History
If that helped, move the .plist file from the Preferences folder to the Trash. If not, just move it back to the Preferences folder.
If you don't want history saved when you visit Facebook, go to the Safari menu bar click Safari > Private Browsing
