iTunes Match hangs on Step 2

I have the same problem, it hangs in step two!

I am very dissapointed about Apple, lot of people is getting the same issues and no one help us out. THANKS APPLE.

How can we fix this??

I actually made it to step 3, but stopped the process because a lot of songs were not matched. Now it hangs at step 2..

Same problems, I got up to 242 of 10000

Extra info, the 242 are songs I bought via iTunes. The rest are CD's I digitized myself.

So fair to say that progress is 0%...

There have been 19 countries added today so it may be that the servers are overloading, mine has not worked all day and is stuck at step 2.

Ik heb het zelfde probleem. Ik hoorde van een aantal andere mensen dat het gewoon moet worden afgewacht tot de servers van Apple minder worden belast. *** komt doordat er gister 19 extra landen zijn waar iTunes Match beschikbaar werd gemaakt.

You are correct - the Apple infrastructure is currently no making progress past Step 2, it is likely to be a few days before the service balances given the sheer number of new iTunes Match clients!

Why didn't they just do one country at a time? This is frustating and makes no sense. I didn't have these issues at all on the US launch.

Mine's doing the same thing. it gets stuck in step 2. it's been stuck for a few hours and i've tried restarting, disabling etc. still nothing

Funny enough they could take my money for the service in a minute time, that part works like a charm......😉

Guess we all have to wait untill it's a bit less crowded on the servers.

Yeah I think we're all in the same boat right now. Pretty bad user experience for a company that doesn't talk about anything else. I would rather have spent my $30 on beer.

Does iTunes Match work for anyone? All it does is hang on step 3. Fix this Apple. How about a sad finder face popping up so we know you have acknowledged the probllem.

I joined today as well (from the Netherlands) and have the same issue. Following other discussions I turned off iTunes Match on all other devices, switched off Genius and restarted several times. I left it open for 4 hours at once and never passed song 33 of over 7000 in step two.

This in not Apple like, normally these kind of hangups are not there. I'm a loyal Apple fan since 1998 and this is my first realy bad experience as one cannot reach Apple on this subject and they do not release any statement either. Not happy at all!

I hope this will be resolved quickly!

same problem in step 2 after find 2530 songs the last 30 song have a long time 10 h.. yesterday worked correct today 17-01-12 no working..

I quite literally saw the service tank by early AM GMT time this morning (I was doing hundreds of matches just a few hours earlier).

Unfortunately, I've seen this song and dance before with the last major rollout in December - I think it will be at least a day or two before the service stabilizes, if we're lucky. I'm not even bothering with Matches today - maybe I'll try tomorrow. 😟
