As far as I know there is no way to order it online outside Greece.

But if you live in another country and want it I know that you can order it in a store - a friend of mine got a Danish keyboard in the US by visiting an Apple Store and order it there. It took a few weeks before he got it.

It would be nice to be able to order online from the US Apple Store when you live in Europe... the products are a lot cheaper - but be aware of taxes if you get caught in customs.

There is never any guarantee you can get an Apple localized keyboard outside the country where it is used. There are obviously a lot of other keyboards other than Greek which the uk store does not have: Hebrew, Arabic, Russian, Bulgarian, Japanese, Taiwanese, Korean, Czech, Hungarian, Romanian, etc. All of these exist.

If you look at the link I posted and will re-post you will see that from the UK you can get att the localized keyboards by mail order BUT NOT GREEK that is unfare. If you ring Apple and ask if thay can supply one thay say "sorry we do not make a greek keyboard" that is unfare.

PS TopSteve -- I am curious how you can be sure that the MacBook Pro or MacBook Air sold in Greece with a Greek keyboard has been modified by the local seller to install a non-Apple keyboard. It is not an easy thing to do. The Cyprus store does not charge any more for a Greek keyboard.

Because Apple told me so. It's NOT the store it's the supplyer to the store or the supplyer to the supplyer of the supplyer.

I have spent many man hours talking to Apple both in the UK and US about this

I have looked at your link again but I still cannot find all sorts of localized keyboards that do exist, like Arabic, Hebrew, Bulgarian, Japanese, Taiwanese, Korean, Czech, Hungarian, Romanian. So as far as I can tell, Greek is certainly not the only one missing. Or do you see these keyboards there?

Jan 18, 2012 7:09 AM in response to Tom Gewecke

Indede! I did not say all ("att" may be seen as "all" but it was ment as "at").

I feel the same about all the missing keyboards, if any are avable then all should be! For instance why supply Norwegian and not Bulgarian? Of couse some keyboards are the same or simler (UK, US).

What's the logic in supplying one keyboard and not the other? why leave it up to 3rd partys to make some keyboard types? Perhaps Apple are serjesting by there actions that some countrys are better than others? (only answer this if you repesent Apple)

Nobody in these forums represents Apple, just other users like yourself.

Of course there are lots of people who would like to avoid the higher prices (and sometimes high taxes) in their native country by buying their Apple stuff in some other country. Personally I can understand why Apple would not go out of its way to facilitate this, as it could make it hard to maintain viable local service and sales operations for its products in many countries. But you can tell Apple how you feel about that via their feedback channels:

The Greek wireless keyboards I found on the Greek websites sure look exactly like Apple keyboards. Does it matter exactly who makes them? Almost all Apple stuff is made in China in 3rd party factories.

My native country is the UK I was born there in 1966 it was onley in 2008 that I desided to move to Greece and that is when I desided to buy a Greek keyboard while I was still in the UK.

as for your point about Apple facilitateing........ So you understand why Apple would facilitate the above in the countrys that thay do supply keyboard for? LOL your point is self defeting.

The point about China is well tacken that is why when I wanted to buy the keyboard wile I was still in the UK I contacted Apple for one. I used the flowing means to track one down:

serchings though www.apple.com and store.apple.com/uk /us /gr and others I used the live chat system thay had then, e-mail, phone and snail-mail. most of the time I got the answer "sorry we don't make one" So that is what I belived at the time. Because what else would one belive when the people at:

Apple

1 Infinite Loop

Cupertino, CA 95014

408.996.1010

Tell you thay don't make and can't help.

It was not until I got to Greece that I sore what looks like Apple keybords on and with Apple computers that logic shows that if the company say thay don't make or supply them than the keyboard must be made and supplyed by someone else. QED
