Having problems syncing faders and play/stop/record buttons on m-audio oxygen to logic pro 9

HI Eveyone, I am working on logic pro 9. I have an m-audio oxygen 49 midi keyboard. It works well and requires no drivers, but despite having worked precisely from a manual, comprehensive guide and youtube directions when I try to sync the faders/sliders to be used on my mixer, it doesn't work properly. It works so that if you highlight a track you can use any fader to fade with it, but you can't lay it out so each fader works on a different track. I also have a play/record/rewind/stop etc buttons on my midi keyboard, but those won't syn either despite my best efforts.

Your tips and thoughts would be most appreciated..
