Jan 17, 2012 2:32 PM in response to jamiefromovaloby shldr2thewheel,The "Ignore accidental trackpad input" trackpad option no longer appears in System Preferences. Functionality for "Ignore accidental trackpad input" is enabled automatically, by default for these computers.

Jan 17, 2012 2:34 PM in response to jamiefromovaloby jamiefromovalo,So I'm assuming that if I'm still accidentally bumping the pad while typing it's just time to adjust the typing style? The one I learned in 1990? LOL

Under Mountain Lion it doesn't appear to be enabled by default, there's seemingly no way to turn it on, and it's driving me nuts.

Nov 13, 2012 1:05 PM in response to jamiefromovaloby sterlingfive,Has there been any update to this? I just upgraded to ML today and I am already having a terrible time with the trackpad while typing. Like most long term Apple users, I don't take to change very well. I use both my trackpad and mouse. I don't want to have to disable the trackpad entirely, it would effect my workflow. I also use magicprefs, and I thought there might at least be a setting for this in there, but there isn't. Whatever Apple has done with the automatic ignore feature, it doesn't work. Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated. If you know something, please share it!
PS~ My cursor jumped twcie from accidental input just while I was typing this. Ahhhh!!!!!
