Apple Ram vs Other brands Is there a difference?

I own a iMac 27-inch, Late 2009. I'm looking to upgrade my memory with 4- 4 GB RAM SO-DIMMs of 1066 MHz DDR3 SDRAM in each slot.

I was looking on Apple's site to purchase the memory and noticed there was a HUGE price difference in Apple's Rams vs. other sites.

Is there a reason for this? Does anyone recommened any certain brand of memory to get or are they all pretty much the same? Thanks in Advance

Agree with other posters, and not to cause unneccesary concern, there were threads like this one https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2567907?start=0&tstart=0 that reported problems with some after market RAM when original RAM from Apple was removed and max of 16 GB (4 X 4) was installed. It seems to have been addressed, but just to say stick with Crucial and OWC and you'll be fine.

Thanks you all so much for all your helpful comments. I can't believe the price difference! I just ordered OWS's 16.0GB (4.0GB x 4 Kit) PC8500 DDR3 1066MHz SO-DIMM 204 Pin Memory. It had a lifetime warranty which I didn't see with Crucial. Thanks everyone!
